Stumbelbloc is a revolutionary new building product (global patent pending) which takes building to a new dimension.
Stumbelbloc – Garden Route is based in George but offers delivery across the region. Using its original design, building is as simple as stacking blocks on top of each other - whilst retaining high precision margins! This method of building is cost effective, environmentally friendly, energy efficient and convenient. Stumbelbloc is significantly more environmentally friendly than most other forms of traditional building materials : Energy Saving - Most other manufactured bricks and blocks need massive energy to “fire” them. Insulation properties – Stumbelbloc contain two cavities which can be filled with polystyrene to increase the R value of the wall.
Using recycled polystyrene and filling the cavities you can increase the R-value of your wall from 2.5 to 8. The mass of the block also provides insulation. Fast building - Because building with Stumbelbloc is very fast compared with traditional methods, energy costs are drastically reduced. They require no electricity or fossil fuels to build with. Mortar saving - Although the blocks use a thin bed of mortar to “stick” them together, the amount required is far less than conventional blocks or brickwork. Reduction in mortar - Because thin bed mortar is used in construction, this too results in a significant transport saving versus conventional methods Longevity - Compared with other forms of building, the blocks are very strong and therefore will last for a very long time, significantly longer than traditional materials. This reduces the overall carbon footprint.
