Eden Adventures - Outdoor Adventure Activities, Wilderness, Garden Route

Eden Adventures, located at the Fairy Knowe Hotel in the Wilderness, specialises in outdoor adventure tours, as well as teambuilding activities and tailor made tours of the Garden Route.​.  We have been running a professional tour operation since early 1997 and with over 18 years of experience we can show you the best that the area has to offer!

Our main tours include canoeing, kloofing & abseiling but for those who would like to explore the area in their own time, Eden Adventures also has an affordable range of canoes for hire.

Canoeing along the waterways of the area is a very popular all year round activity.  From our base at the Fairy Knowe Hotel, one can easily set off on the Touw River and explore the placid waters of the Garden Route National Park but there are other waterways in the area as well.  Please remember that should you intend to take a canoe onto the Touw River, and you don’t have a valid Wildcard, you will be required to pay SANParks conservation levy. These can be paid at the Eden Adventures office.

Kloofing,  also known canyoneering, is a popular summer activity. The fun starts as one negotiates one's body into a wetsuit. After kitting-up we go boulder hopping and swimming down narrow canyons with lush indigenous forest on either side. For the brave there are always the optional jumps off the cliffs into the cola coloured water below.  All you need to bring is a costume, shoes or sandals that can get wet and a camera (we will carry it in a waterproof container for you). Also, don't forget your towel and dry clothes for the end.

Abseiling is all about using a rope and other specialised equipment to descend a cliff. The serene Kaaimans Gorge holds one of the most beautiful abseil sights you will find. You have a chance to do two 45m abseils right next to a magnificent waterfall. While the first abseil gets you used to the idea of trusting the ropes, you tend to have more exhilarating fun on the second or third go.   What also makes this sight special is that you land in a canoe at the bottom.

You need not have abseiled before, however it is not for the faint-hearted! It is also important to remember not to wear slippery shoes.  

Combination Tours, for those who feel like a little more exercise, try a full day combination of the Cappuccino Canyon Kloofing and the Abseiling Tours. Lunch is included

Recent additions to our Combination Tours include the Adventure Duet and the Triple Challenge.  The Adventure Duet is an afternoon of abseiling and canoeing, while the Triple Challenge is a combination of kloofing, abseiling (next to the Kaaimans waterfall) and canoeing.

Team Building - Eden Adventures has become one of the leading teambuilding service providers on the Garden Route. Although most of our teambuilding takes place at or near our base in the Wilderness, we do a have portable equipment and have done events as far afield as Plettenberg Bay, Oudtshoorn and MosselBay.
